Default how to show member and non member prices

I wanted to show everyone the discounted prices they'll get if the buy a membership.

Is there a simple way of showing 2 prices.
The regular price and the price the member will recieve if they join up.

And when they become a member they pay the discounted member price.

I thought about using an extra field but wasn't sure how to make display when some one is not logged in.

I would be interested in having somehing like this as well. There are memberships, but they are intended for wholesale. I'd appreciate some feedback and suggestions. Thanks in advance.

goto edit product: Under short and detailed description enter "Member Price $235" (or whatever you wish). This should be on a separate line at the bottom of the description area so it's near the full price.

The discount for membership then is in reality an X% off coupon. ie: membership gives a person 10% off, so you give them a 10% off coupon, and the "Membership Price" is 10% less.

Then use coupon function for members. Members get a "membership" number or code instead of a "coupon." Edit coupon labels as required to indicate membership rather than coupons. You'll need to send them their unique code in an email (I'm fairly certain this can be automated, but I don't know how).

If you want to reward certain customers some more, you give them a "Coupon Code" for the next order. Tell them to place that code in the "comments" box on the order form.

I know not if this is the best way, but I wrestled with this problem for some time and decided on this method so that the basic X-Cart would remain pretty much intact.
