Always show top-level categories in the menu

Exclamation Always show top-level categories in the menu
Hi all.

The left navigation menu shows parent categories but when you go into any, the menu changes to its subcategories. How do I make it stay always the same showing only top-level categories?

this is setting in admin general settings
