I'm interested in creating separate confirmation email templates that are dependent on products order

i.e. Customer order product 1, confirmation email reads:
"Thanks!"

later, same customer orders another product 2, confirmation email reads:
"Thank you!"

This is just an example, but the basics of what I want to do. Any suggestions, problems, etc.

That would be a custom development job for sure, not something simple enough to post in the forums I'm afraid.
