![]() Our website currently has integrated one step checkout/glossary/marketing manager/safetyweb seo modules.
∙ It is based on Version ??? I am not sure ∙ It is slow as it is based in America but hosted well with EWD Hosting. ∙ Paypal doesnt return a correct code when payment processed and so it throws an error at the end of the customer order ∙ The security config is bad. ∙ It is wasting page space and I want to modify the design slightly. ∙ There are no dynamic categories on the front page ∙ On the same server, kind of integrated is jamaffiliates and wordpress. I am just opening a retail store and am not quite happy with the page layouts and I want to add more localised information and be able to put on last minute special offers. I ordered and paid X_CART to upgrade my store to the newest version and mover the existing design before finding out the current release was flaky and asking them to hold off for a new version. They were going to just move the current design to a new server and make it more dynamic. Things that I think I need to do: ∙ Install new site on new Australian webhost (Quadra preferably just because I already host other sites with them or with Nat who impressed me at xcart.com.au. ∙ I have thought about it and the look and feel is important to me so I don▓t want completely dynamic menus across the top. I am happy with what I have there but want categories menu too. ∙ Install mods. (QUESTION everyone says that one page checkout is no longer needed √ is this true?) ∙ Implement new design (as per diagram) ∙ Add wordpress (fresh) and skin it ∙ Add JAM Affiliates (ideally move it and modify skin) ∙ Add Marketing Manager ∙ Move customer data ∙ Double and triple check that all the security advices have been followed (get checklist from forum?) Alternatively perhaps I just port my current site to Australia. ∙ Amend the skin ∙ Fix the paypal issue ∙ Check the security ∙ Need drop shipping. ∙ Need ability from admin to place orders and enter details. This sounds more sensible? But is this setting myself up for later limitations? How good are XC developers at skinning sites? Or would I be better asking someone else (Paul at Lumino helped with some things before) |
