![]() Hi Everyone,
We created X-Cart 4.3.2 plugin for cPanel (a hosting control panel). The plugin lets cPanel powered hosting providers give their customers an ability to deploy X-Cart installations with help of a couple of clicks right from their hosting accounts control panels. Unfortunately, cPanel doesn't have testing and certification procedures for 3rd party plugins unlike Plesk. We did some testing "in-house" but we are sure such testing is not enough. So I invite Everyone who knows term "cPanel" and uses it to download our cPanel plugin and test it. Post bugs and problems here or PM me. To install the plugin in your cPanel: 1) Go to WHM > cPanel > Install cPAddons > Add/Remove Vendors and enter http://csync.qtmsoft.com/vendor.pl as "Vendor's Information URL" 2) Tick a checkbox near X-Cart and click "Update" 3) Done. X-Cart is downloaded into your cPanel 4) Login as a customer in cPanel, then go to Software / Services > Site Software > Ecommerce and find X-Cart there 5) Both of these WHM options need to be unchecked in 'Server Configuration->Tweak Settings': "Prevent installation of addon scripts not provided by cPanel" "Prevent installation of cPanel addon scripts that have been altered". UPDATE: beta testing is over on August 26th 2010.

![]() I've installed following your instructions, however the X-Cart icon is not appearing in user's cPanel.
I've gone to 'Package Feature List' (cPanel->Packages->Packages->Feature Manager->Edit Default Feature List) and clicked 'Edit cPAddons Feature List' to verify X-Cart is active and it is checked, however I receive the following error message Could not read directory '/usr/local/cpanel/cpaddons/cPanel': No such file or directory Any ideas?

![]() Hi Bill,
I believe you looked in admin back-end of cPanel. X-Cart cPanel package should appear in end-users control panel accounts. You should look there. However, we'll contact cPanel with regards to this issue.

![]() I was able to solve this problem which I don't know if should be part of your install instructions:
Quote:
I had to install the Cpanel:support addon (WHM->Install Cpaddons) which created the /usr/local/cpanel/cpaddons/cPanel folder. However, X-Cart installer is still not visable in end user cPanel. Thank you.

That's OK. It doesn't prevent X-Cart from being installed.

![]() You are supposed to login as a customer in cPanel, then go to Software / Services > Site Software > Ecommerce and find X-Cart there

Fine! I added "4) Login as a customer in cPanel, then go to Software / Services > Site Software > Ecommerce and find X-Cart there" to my instruction above. Thank you for your help with this matter! Alex
