Hi guys hope you can help me losing anymore hair. I'm using 4.2 and the light & lucid template as a starting point. I'm trying to get a wrapper around the site so I can have a 850px site. In 4.1 I did this with ease, added div id wrapper at the top of the head.tpl file and closed it in the bottom.tpl file then added the css in the stylesheet.

For some reason when doing this in 4.2 the footer ends up overlapping the header, after an hour of headscratching I decided to add it to the home.tpl file instead and this worked fine, well until I went testing all the pages, when you goto checkout it loses the wrapper and goes 100% and the continue shopping and checkout buttons get lost under the header.

Confused I tried adding the wrapper tag to the head & bottom.tpl files again and this keeps the cart page within the wrapper although the footer is overlapping the header.

I ran a html & css validation check to see if i had the div tags in the wrong position although it passed fine. I can't check the source code as the header section does not show for whatever reason.

Is there another way to add a wrapper? or is there something i need to add to the footer class?

Keep in mind the checkout uses a different set of templates if you are using fast lane checkout...

Just came on to post that , completly forgot about those too stressed, switched it off now. Cheers
