I have a large white gap on the bottom third of my home page that I would like to eliminate but haven't had much success. My site address is www.outdoorroomsdirect.com if anyone has time to take a look at and suggest some ideas, thank you.

Try find and change next code and remove height="477".

I don't know. You have heavy modify on the main page

Try searching in files:
"skin1/customer/home.tpl"
"skin1/customer/main/welcome.tpl"

If you have a local copy of your shop skin, you can use for search standard - "Windows searching" (by phrase in the file "<td valign="top" height="477"" or ... ).

Use webmaster mode to determine what template is what - then you can track it down.
