![]() Hello!
Does anyone have a suggestion as how to remove all products from displaying in a category? I only have around 60 items total, and many of them are similar, just different sizes so I want to manually display them with HTML by using just the category information section. I suppose I could 'hide' all the products but I wasn't sure if that has any bearings on SEO and if there might be a better way to go about it. I don't want to create any new categories because my present ones are already ranked. On a side note, does anyone else have some of their html remove from the category / product descriptions? I have been trying to add a <b></b> or <strong></strong> and they are always replaced with <span etc etc></span>? Thanks much! Ryan

![]() You could just use product variants for the different sizes.

![]() Yes, I did try that but for usability and SEO that wasn't optimal. I still use variants for the height of each table and then customers just browse by table diameter size.
Even with that it still has the potential to be a little confusing / look repetitive with the same images which is why I'm going to re-do the categories and the the product listing. Thanks!

![]() Ah, just hiding the products won't work as I use the Quickfind mod (which is awesome Phil!). I'll have remove the code to display the products
I'll post back if I figure it out.

![]() Looking at your site, it appears you can lump your tables into one item each (round table, bookshelf table, vanity table, etc) and use product variants to choose the size, and the leg length, and also any other options (color? wood? etc.) necessary. The customer would then choose "round table" and have drop-down menus for "diameter", "leg length" and "color" (if necessary). You can even change images with each variant choice if you want (it looks like you use a "stock" photo for every "round table" for instance).
By doing this you could display as many or as few as you want just by how you want to group the variants.... 10 - 20 Inch Round Decorator Table, 22-30 Inch Round Decorator Table, 32-40 Inch Round Decorator Table.

![]() JWait,
Thanks for the suggestions. Those are certainally good ideas, but based on usability testing from the original layout (which was similar to what you described) conversions were much lower...I think all the choices intimidated visitors. Plus this way the site looks a little 'bigger'. But you do make a good point with the stock image...hence the need for a redesign. I've got some ideas so we'll see what pans out. Thanks!!
