Is there an easy way to add a global Rel="nofollow" to all images in my site?

As of now I'm using the default layout of X-Cart and wish the bots to follow the text links to the cart page and not the image links to the cart page so I can get the added anchor text weight for that link. I do not want to remove the image link as visitors are more prone to click a pretty image than they are a text link.

Does anyone know or can assist me in doing this?

There's no easy way to do this, you'd have to manually locate the file templates and add the code to the links around images, starting with these files which would handle the majority:
skin1/customer/main/products.tpl
skin1/customer/main/products_t.tpl
