I need to edit my search string to include another field as well as the one it already searches by(which I believe is product). I got a little insight on the messageboard but I can't seem to find the correct file. I was told it was in xcart/skin1/main/search.php. The only thing a little similar is the file search_results.tpl. Can anyone give me some insight on how to go about this? Another question is how much is my search engine going to slow down as result of this?

The file is in the main customer directory not within skin1. You will need to use a text editor or something like dreamweaver MX to edit it.

It will not have any noticeable effect on the speed of the search as far as I can establish.
