![]() How can I get xcart to generate the catalog html pages in the root directory instead of the directory "catalog"? Or better yet to have just the index.html page generated to the root directory?
I do not want to use a redirect to the catalog index.html but would like to move this file to the root level. I understand that I can just copy it from the catelog directory after fixing the links but this is a pain to do everytime the front page is updated. There must be an easier way... like having the index.html page generated in the root directory. |

![]() I see noone has been able to help you in this matter. Have you found a way to do this? I would like to be able to do this as well. as I am currently generating the html and then copying the pages to the root directory. Getting a lot more products in now and it is getting crazy to change the links.

![]() No I haven't been able to do this. It would really be handy though.

![]() What I have done in the short term is use FrontPage and when the catalog is created I open the catalog file and then copy all of the pages over to the root directory. FrontPage will actually relink all of the pages so they work correctly.
Then when replacing them I delete them all from the root directory and then redo the above - If i left them in the root and copied over again I would have to click yes on every page to overwrite. Hope this helps in the short term until I can figure out how to generate the catalog into the root directory. |

![]() I can tell you what I do..... Since I have FrontPage 2002 I follow the instructions that lildawg spoke of in this topic http://forum.x-cart.com/viewtopic.php?t=2411&postdays=0&postorder=asc&star t=0
FrontPage does all the link changing work for me.... Works great. OOPS I see you found out how to do it while I was typing...
