Default displaying another category where the featured products area is

I am looking to move my monthly specials into the Featured Products area, I have my featured products mod'ed to go to the right side..

Side note**My featured products have shrunk from the size they were when the authbox was there, I moved it so i can add a sign in button on the speedbar.**

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Hm... your problem is impossible to understand by your request. If you can show pics with `what you want to move to what` it would be great and I'll try to help you.

ok where the featured products usually are on the main page.

instead of displaying the featured products, I wish to display a category (for example: my monthly specials)

so on the main page, I hcurrently have my featured products on the right hand side (mod) and now I want to put the category or the "monthly specials" in the center area in their place.

I hope this makes sense

Yes, I'm understand. However, featured products menu have not displayed in any categories, only at the homepage. Therefore it's complicates the issue.

I know how this may be realized, but this is requires some modifications of existing php/tpl and creating some new files and I can't explain this.
