What is the easiest way to edit the text for the privacy / terms pages ? I see the language variables in the admin section, but it pulls up like 916 results adn you have to click through each one to find your text.

Is there one large text file somewhere that you can change or is it all stored in the DB ?

You should investigate Webmaster Mode It will make your life much easier. Have a look at the manual for detailed instructions on how to use it. All of the text is in the DB, but Webmaster Mode lets you edit it on the fly. Also, be sure to use the 'filter' box in the languages area. You can type part of the text you are looking to edit and it will filter the results to just show the variables that contain that text.
