Question Short description not required
Is there any way to lift the short description being required? i.e. you can leave it empty and it will be accepted in product management?

There is but it would require patching of several files which I can write you a patch for, unfortunately since that patch would be for X-Cart 4.1.8 it might leave you between a rock and a hardplace unless you feel comfortable enough reading diffs

You have a patch available or do you have to write it specifically? I hoped it would be a simple modification; don't want to burden someone with writing an extensive patch.
