We'd like sales reps to be able to view and use our site on their PDA's too. We'd want to minimise images on the site for these devices. Would a custom skin be the best way to rejig the look of our x-cart site so it suits these users?

Has anyone dealt with this issue before?

Your best bet on this would be to put in place a browser sniffer and assign a different style sheet according to the browser. Now a pda will show as a diff browser so can put in place one to suit it.

You will need to assign a style to the thumbnails so that the sizing of these is controlled by the stylesheet - then you can simply switch the sizing to suit the technology.
