This has probably been asked before. I would like to have the "add to cart" AND select quantity box on the thumbnails pages (products_t.tpl) , and not have customer directed to the
details (product.tpl) page unless they click the image or details link. IE someone can select 5 different products from the same page and add them to their cart without leaving the page.
Make any sense?? Come to think of it, I want the product.tpl incorporated into the products_t page

If you're talking about adding a product to the shopping cart and not going to it (the cart) at the same time that's here: admin -> general settings -> general options -> Redirect customer to cart: uncheck.

Partly... yes.... but I would like a select quantity dropdown, or even better a text-box quantity input on the page as well. I think it appears provided there are no options for the product, as I seem to recall I used to have one show up. I will make a dummy product with no options and de-select reditrect to cart and see what happens.
