Hi,

I am a newbie...i am going to have my site up and running in a few days...

And i need help...i brought the fashion template and it looks good but i want to use both the pink and blue templates.

Pink will be for girl items and blue for boy items.

So i wanted to know how to have two templates installed at once and when someone clicks on boys categorie their template should be blue and if they click on girls categorie they should be in pink template.

The easy way:

1. Beg. Jon from WebsiteCM has a mod that allows you to establish unique templates for specific categories and/or products, and SIMPLY select them... it may or may not be ready for 4.1.x -- but send him an email and beg. This is a very useful mod.

2. The not as easy way, but works just the same: clone your template page and change your coloring (use CSS file and modify the class names). You will probably need to do some if/else code in home_main.tpl to make sure the correct template loads for th correct category or product.

It is absolutely possible either way and there is no reason not to do this. You'll also learn a ton about how xcart works while you're putting this in place.
