Default Resizing thumbnails
I need to make the thumbnails bigger on my product pages. What template do I edit to do this?

Customer/main/product.tpl. By default, they are shown as the actual image size. If you want to adjust that, alter the image_x and image_y values.

That is a category page not a product page, and that is controlled by General Settings/Appearance Options.
