Placing Mini Banner and SSL Site Seal on Home Page

Default Placing Mini Banner and SSL Site Seal on Home Page
Greetings Folks,

Haven't yet found info on this - hope someone can advise.

I need to place a couple of mini banners and a static Thwart ssl seal on home.php. I also need to place an active Thwart seal on the Cart page.

Placing of these images is important. For home.php: under the Help Menu.
For cart: anywhere prominent.

I haven't a clue where to add the html, etc.

I'd be grateful for any advice please.

Can you, or can someone else help me by describing what and how please. I have little knowledge of PHP templates.

I need to know between which tags it's safe to insert an HTML table etc, - for placement mentioned in my opening post.
