I'd like to turn off the icons that appear to the left of Catagories, Best Sellers etc...

Could someone please point me to where this is handled?

From what I can tell, the only place to turn off the icons would be within the templates.

A quick look into the templates seems to indicate that you can change 1 template and affect most if not all of the things you want to edit. That template is the menu.tpl template, in the /customers/ directory.

It's a place to start, anyways.

Just remove or comment out this on menu.tpl:

{$link_begin}[img]{$ImagesDir}/{if $dingbats ne ''}{$dingbats}{else}spacer.gif{/if}[/img]{$link_end}

I commented out that line and all is GOOD! That removed the icons.

I removed out that line on menu.tpl but the icons are still there.

I found some problems after I upgraded from 4.0.12 to 4.0.17. I don't believe the problems are from upgradeing, but they are really happened. The version 4.0.12 was working very well for me.

Please help me to solve this problem.

Unless you have a custom skin installed, that is indeed the correct solution.
