Default pulling hair just trying to make one change

I try changing a tpl file, then uploading it to the server but the display doesn't change. So I try deleting the template cache directory so it can regen the templates, but still no change.

I HATE SMARTY. What am I doing wrong here??

Can anyone explain what the hell is going on?

While I understand your frustration, you really need to do a couple of things:

1. Post your version number in your signature. Can't help you when we don't know what version you are on.

2. Give us a little more info. What template are you editing, what are you trying to do to it and where are you uploading it?

x-cart 4.0.13

I posted an update to my question, but for some reason I don't see it.

I did get it working, but I had to delete all tpl files from
/xcart/skin1/customer/main
then refresh the browser so Smarty complains that it can't find file. Then upload the modded tpl file and THEN it shows up.

Changing the tpl file and deleting the cache files doesn't seem to force a proper template regenerate. Not sure why.

Try editing the template in the X-Cart admin area and see if you get the same result. It could also be a browser cache issue.
