I know this is retarded but where can I add or delete products in the recommends list?

Recommendations are automatic, and generated by the Cart.

The upselling module, on the other hand, you can control which items get listed there. But only on a product by product basis.

Ok. I have the uplelling module checked off in the admin so How do I use it?

Upselling is done on the Modify Product menu, choose the product you want to add an Upsell link to as if you were going to edit the product entry.

Look below your detailed images and stuff, and you'll see a little area there to add "related" products for an Upselling link to the product you are editing.

I *love* the little box that makes it a two-way upsell in the one admin edit.

Hi Deb,

Does anyone have a modification for the recommends list. Seems to me this list could be a lot better if an algorithm generated this list based upon past customer purchases and recommended products that other customers bought who also bought the product you are viewing. Perhaps it could even incorporate items off the wish list of registered users and cross check items on the list with the same algorithm to come up with even more recommendations. Like Amazon.com does.

Then give us the option in the admin console of either generating the list randomly or with the algorithm.

Any thoughts?
