Default Editing Welcome text

I am editing my welcome text. I want to put in an email address that will hyperlink to the users email program and open a new email. Like a click on this to email us kinda thing. I ahve searched and I guess maybe I am not searching for the right thing. Help please?

You can use regular HTML in your welcome text. For example:

Send email to us at you@yourstore.com

Or if you want to use the email address from your config area:

Code:


I would recommend not putting your email on your site like that, and instead direct users to the "contact us" page. That way you won't be spammed as much.

Absolutely do this. Once your site gets spidered well, you will have hell with spam if you don't. Of course, you will still get the catchall emails and the common ones such as support@domain.com, but it is cut down considerably this way.

I don't list my email address on of our sites in public areas any more.
