I agree. Taking them off site removes all the effort in driving them down the sales funnel only to find that the site can't "really" take their credit card info. Have you made any 4.4 stores yet? I'm planning on building a new client on it now as they're anxious to get running and his has all the features already built in as opposed to adding all the module in 4.3.. Your take on this - 4.4 with x-payments ready for primetime?

4.4.0 is not ready for primetime, no. Never use a .0 release - let the bugs get worked out. The last two branches it took until .2 until it was really ready. If you want to build in 4.4, go ahead, but just know you will need to apply the patches when they come out - and the more custom you make the site, the more work it takes to patch. I'm building 3 new sites using it, but I'm going to be kicking myself when i have to install the .1 and .2 patches.

I think I might be kicking myself as well. I'm between a rock and a hard place as I need the functionality of 4.4, but don't want the patch headaches.... but what's worse, building it on 4.3 and then trying to upgrade maybe even a more customized site to 4.4. Either way is no party...

Patching is WAY easier than upgrading - if you absolutely need the features, build it in 4.4

Dear QT, thanks for posting that video. Seeing it in action explains what it really is.

Two questions:
Can it work with LC & does it integrate with worldpay?

It can be integrated with LC v2 or any other e-commerce software using X-Payments' API, but unfortunately, we haven't developed XP connector for LC. Neither there is some particular ETA for this.

> does it integrate with worldpay?

I don't see Worldpay at http://help.qtmsoft.com/index.php?title=X-Payments:User_manual#Appendix_A._Supported_payment _gateways

However, Worldpay is an "offsite" (c) Balinor payment gateway AFAIK, i.e. a customer goes to their secure form for entering credit card details. You do not need X-Payments or any other PA-DSS compliant software in such case.

Thanks for your reply ambal.

What's the story if I wanted to get LC connected? Would it be much work for QT to develop this?

Re: worldpay. That's true but worldpay do offer the facility to just use their payment systems and your own merchant account. Actually, I'd be more interested to know if x-payments will support Realex?

You'd better request our quote using http://www.x-cart.com/request_quote.html as I do not quote custom development projects.

I don't know. I advise you to post this idea at http://ideas.x-cart.com
If it gets enough votes we can consider adding Realex to X-Payments. There must be good grounds for that.

The thing is, as LC 2.2.41 was only released in February this year don't you think you have a responsibility to LC customers who were previously taking cards on their site but have now been abandoned?

Regarding Realex, maybe you are not aware but Realex are Ireland's largest payment gateway. I'm sure if you contacted them their development team would love to get integration sorted. I did ask QT for a quote to develop a LC payment module for Realex but it was too costly. Again, LC users are always left at the bottom of QT's priorities.
