I have been messing around with the templates but have not been able to find anywhere that I can disable the showing of the Brief Product Description on the product pages. All I want to display is the full Product Description.


Any suggestions?

Rather than trying to modify templates why not just set it to empty string. Or is it required to have some text in it?

Well there is a slight issue with that. I do leave them empty when I am creating them in XC. However I am using the eBay Integration module and each time that it refreshes it auto fills in BOTH the brief description AND the full description.

Here is just one example.

I am already waiting on xCart Tech Support to fix another issue. Each time that it imports it creates new categories on the fly so my entire category structure is screwed up.

Then you need to file a bug report with XC (or however the developer of the eBay module is) and ask them to fix their module. This is definitely a bug in the eBay module so you should not be going around the cart and trying to hack it.

If you still want to do it just use the webmaster mode to find out the template in question and simply comment out the entry for the description you want to hide.
