Question How to use the Bootstrap icons on the static pages (in text editor)?

Good day!

Please help me - I want to use Bootstrap icons (http://www.bootstrapicons.com) in text editor on these pages as http://demostore.x-cart.com/admin/admin.php?target=page&id=2
How do I best connect them to the editor?

Thanks!

I believe it is TinyMCE that removes the HTML tags, not X-Cart 5.

TinyMCE has parameters that allow you to configure which HTML tags are allowed / not allowed, but X-Cart 5 doesn't set them:
https://www.tinymce.com/docs/configure/content-filtering/#extended_valid_elements

However, I think you may create a custom module that replaces the skins/admin/en/modules/CDev/TinyMCE/js/script.js file with a custom one that uses the extra TinyMCE parameters.

It may be useful to you, a simple way to use Font Awesome Icons in a text editor on the static pages of your store:

1. in etc/config.php add two lines:
[html_purifier]
HTML.Trusted = On

2. in text editor in "Source code" mode add code (as example):
<p><em class="fa fa-home fa-fw">&nbsp;</em>Any text</p>

it works
