Has anyone gotten this to work - Dual publication.
By enabling the built-in optional News Management module, you can simultaneously post newsletters sent through MailChimp to your X-Cart "News" section - using paid MailChimp integration module. If so how?

In message #4 you said:

"* Customers can subscribe/unsubscribe on X-Cart "News" section (built-in X-Cart "News management" module must be enabled)"

I have everything set up and working - except this feature. There doesn't seem to be a way to have a customer subscribe to a newslist (we have several) without that newslist being active. But if they are active the subscription does not go through Mailchimp. If I disable all the newslists, there is no display of the entry form for subscribing - even though there are active Mailchimp lists.

Yes, customers can subscribe to a Mailchimp list when registering (I have not checked checkout) but I need the "old" functionality of being able to sign up on any page.

Please advise.

Dear Kermit,

Our architects have been informed about the issue and they should fix it in the upcoming versions.

With all due respect, "upcoming versions" is a bit vague.

Will this be in 4.6.2?

I will take time to fix myself if necessary, and need to know Qualiteam's plans to make this work.

I've talked to mailchimp and they said the do offer single-opt in but X-Cart/qualiteam coded the module this way that it needs double opt in.

Also I can not use the groups created within mailchimp which makes this module useless...

Designguru, I advise to create ideas at http://ideas.x-cart.com about these two features for MailChimp integration module.

Also, http://www.x-cart.com/extensions/modules/mailchimp-integration.html is free for everyone now.
