I am hoping someone can help by explaining to me how to add a simple picture with link to the right side/nav bar below the affiliate link?

Using Xcart 4.4.4

Firstly you need to upload the image in question to your skin/images folder - either via ftp or through admin.

Then you need to find and open the template:
customer/right_bar.tpl
for your skin

Find the affiliates code, and below add the standard html code for an image and a link - but with the smarty code for the image path - e.g.

<a href="link goes here"><img src="{ImagesDir}/imagename.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>

You may want to enclose all of that in a div (layer) to align etc.

Make sure you do have a class in your css file called center with attributes to center align the image if you wish.
Or change the name and add your own class with whatever attributes you need - borders, backgrounds, margins, etc.

I have been attempting this but to no avail. Although the nav bar is on the right it is still labeled left nav bar but i just found that out hehe. Do you have any coding examples as to how to do this.

On a side note, I have also been attempting to change the affiliate sign up link to:

Log in:

Directly under Affiliates on the store page.

I have noticed that in a lot of the x-cart templates there is both an affiliate registration link and Affiliate log in link one on top of the other. How do I add that to my site. As it sits, there is only an affiliate registration link and no log in link. What files do I need to edit and how do edit them? Even at that the registration link sucks hehe!

Ack, I feel like pulling my hair out. I have done this once before years ago for another site but do not recall as to how I did it lol!

There are some templates that automatically have this feature built in.
