Default Displaying content (prices) according to usertype

hiya,

i wonder if anyone can help... i am trying to display different prices depending on the usertype. i've been trying to edit the products.tpl template to see if i can get it to do the following, but it's not working, where am i going wrong? any help much appreciated!

# C is Customer
# T is Trader
# param00 is trade price

{if $usertype eq "C"}
{include file="currency.tpl" value=$products[product].param00}
{elseif $usertype eq "T"}
{include file="currency.tpl" value=$products[product].price}
{/if}

thanks for the reply shan,

your right... i checked out modify product and changed the a product price in the wholesale section, refreshed the catalog, logged in as wholesaler and voila!... the price had changed to the new reduced one, ive got one more question however, how would i go about uploading the wholesale prices all in one go (i've got 700/800 products!) - could i do it through 'Import Products'?

many thanks

hhmmm....

still hacking away at this to try and get this to somehow work

does anyone know if it'd be possible to target the membership field in the customers table as a variable in smarty. i've tried this...

$customers.membership

but, lo and behold, it doesn't seem to work...

any ideas?
