Just completed the painful process of upgrading and converting to 4.4.3.

Have found that on the one page checkout the 'Company' (Company Name) is right at the bottom of the registration panel labeled Personal Information.

No one is going to see it there.... How do you get it under the 'First Name - Last Name'?

It was much more logical in 4.3 and the use of extra fields was much better as you could assign extra fields to either the registration or shipping. And thats the other thing I need a seperate 'Company Name' for shipping to another address as quite a few of my customers need this. But maybe thats for another thread.

Would really appreciate some help on the first issue for now.

Get used to it. The new way 4.4.x handles customer info is ridiculous and inefficient but QT will not do anything about it. You cannot have extra fields for address book - QT decided that billing/shipping addresses do not need to include company - we all bill/ship to individuals only. So your only option is to include it as personal info or additional info. Or have it custom coded

It's a bit ridiculous when it's available when you use the 'standard' registration page but not when you use the checkout.

Major league oversite if you ask me.

Figured out a quick fix and it seems to work.

in /skin/common_files/modules/One_Page_Checkout

modify

opc_profile.tpl

above the line that reads;

{include file='modules/One_Page_Checkout/profile/address_info.tpl' type='B' hide_header=true first=true}

add the line;

{include file='modules/One_Page_Checkout/profile/personal_info.tpl' first=true}

a few lines down rem out the same line;

{* {include file='modules/One_Page_Checkout/profile/personal_info.tpl' first=true}
*}

Then in 'User Profiles' ensure that you have got 'Company checked as active in the column 'Customer at Checkout'.

might need tidying but hey ho - I'm not a programmer.
