I understand that these are entered for the search engines but surely anything you enter here should also be picked up by the xcart search?

I beleive these are for creating following tags such as <meta name="keywords" content="blah"> in body of your page

I have not noticed xcart engine searching trhough meta tags (???). xcarts seems to be looking trhough titles and descriptions of the products.

Metatags keywords are also not much help with optimizing for modern search engines since most of them just ignore <meta name="keywords"... and find <meta name="descirption" more valueble.

Although I would recommend to use them 'just in case'
