Default mod_pagespeed

Anyone any experience with Mod Pagespeed for Apache with x5.3?

We've been testing it a little and it seems to work quite well. The image compression part works well with the images now passing the pagespeed test.

We had to remove the 'deny from all' in the .htaccess for the Var and Image directories but I imagine this could be worked around in a better way.

It is possibly making a better job of combining the CSS and JS files when this is switched off in the performance part of x-cart admin but I need to look at this some more.

I loaded mod_pagespeed, it seems to work. Didn't have to remove 'deny from all' as of yet…

Can you see the images being re-written in the network tab of the browser console? They should have 'pagespeed' in the filename.

Usually press F12 and then click the network tab.

Refresh the page and you should see all the files that make up the page being downloaded.
