Number of Products per Row changeable in admin

On version 3.4.2 has anyone got this feature to display 2 products per row. If I put a 2 in the form it still only displays one item per row. If I enter 3 I get 3 products per row.

I used the previous code to add this option to the admin area and I get a smarty error. The option is in the admin area now, it just doesn't work. I'm using 3.3.5. Any help?

If you are using the later version of xcart - this is already part of the core set up.

I cannot figure this out in 4.0.3.... You say in later versions you are able to change it from 2 or 3 rows... i have no option for this.. I have that option but it only works for featured products.. Help!

it has been and was included in 3.5.x and 4.0
