Subcategories on the left side: MOD ?

Default Subcategories on the left side: MOD ?
Hi Guys,

Is there any mod free or not who can list details on the left side like this one http://www.rei.com/category/4500001_Tents+and+Shelters ?.

The customer is choosing a parent category, and on the next page it will get on the left site all subcategories, brands, price ranges, etc.

there is no mod here. I had done this for my customer and it requires lots of customization.

Did anybody create such of mod for displaying: shop by categories, by prices, by brands when customer enter in a category?

I know a free shopping cart solution which has this feature installed. If someone interested to know about it and maybe adapt it to X-Cart, please send me a private message.
