how to set Writing Permission in edit templates ??

Default how to set Writing Permission in edit templates ??

Respected Members,

i am facing the problem related to set writing permission.
i am getting following Warning....

WARNING! Writing to this directory is prohibited. Please check directory permissions.

it not let me edit templates.

How can i edit templates ??

set the file permission to writeable and will work.

The way i do it, is that i connect to the site via FTP and set the templates that i want to make editable to chmod 666.

your ftp client should have this cabability to change file permissions...
For example: in Filezilla (that i use) if you right click on one of the templates (.tpl) and select 'File Permissions' you set the permissions there ..

All of your .tpl files need to be chmodded to 666. You may need to chmod the skin1 directory, and all subdirectories, as 777 as well to be able to create new tpl files through the admin interface.
