With 4.3, I see the ajax minicart is already there and when clicked on view/ edit cart, it nicely shows the details in the cart.

Now, when user clicks "buy now" it says "added" "added" which is controlled by:<script type="text/javascript" src="{$SkinDir}/customer/ajax.add2cart.js"></script>


from the file skin1/customer/ajax.add2cart.tpl

This is all nice, but there should be an easy way to make a custom ajax pop-up display to state that the "product was added to cart" instead of the "buy now" button changing to "added".

Any ideas?

See example on play.com -- this would be nice to have! I feel we are very close to do this since most of the functionality is already there in 4.3! Thanks,

I agree, It could be done I think with custom Jquerry, something like there dialogue box, that comes out when clicked, and shows content.

But a lot of code to modify, maybe make a post on wish-list..

Would this really take lot of code to modify...? Anyone willing to give some guidance -- I will be happy to implement with some hints/ guidance and share the completed mod with the forum.

Shouldn't do, will let you know when I find the time to do it..

Sorry not been around for a few days. Busy on dev etc. I haven't had a chance to look into this, in the meantime drop an e-mail to the site I mentioned they may give you some pointers if you ask nicely

This being said I will get around to it.
