What is the shipping address/zip code issue I keep seeing people talk about?

Does 4.4.2 speed up page load times? My old store, 4.1.8 I believe, was like lightening compared to the store set up with 4.4.1.

An issue I get with the one page checkout is that sometimes, enough to really worry me, the popup explanation box will not go away and it blocks the ability to input information. Has anyone else experienced this and do you know if it was resolved with 4.4.2?

With the title tag issue in 4.4.2, can this be changed in the corresponding PHP file? I've altered the PHP in the current 4.4.1 site to append the title tag.

I just don't want to move backwards since my store is at least semi-functional at this point.

With all the little bugs reported in this thread, is 4.4.2 a stable version to work and go live on?

Is this normally what happens whenever a new release is out, and how long does it take for everything to settle?

I am wondering the same thing, after reading through this thread post-by-post it appears that the installation code for 4.4.2 was initially broken, but a quick re-release has fixed that.

So I guess the only other two major (new? and please correct me if I am wrong) bugs are:

1. Title tag not working correctly in the SEO module. This is an absolute showstopper as many of us have spent years to SEO our pages to high position in the SERPS and if this isn't fixed right away we could loose our position in Google.

2. Somehow product categories cannot be deleted or modified? Need some more clarification on how critical this new problem is.

Anything else?

If the two items above can be quickly fixed and 4.4.2 is re-released, then I think this may be a good starting point for many people running a simple x-cart installation.

So what is the advice now? Go ahead with 4.4.2. I have been waiting so long for 4.4.2. I am still running my store on 4.3.1 with no x-payment installed. I was hoping to have qualiteam do the upgrade to 4.4.2 and also install x-payment. I am just store owner and depend on qualiteam to do all the work. Can somebody explain in simple terms and what is the effect on the following:

Has anyone else noticed that the SEO settings for the home page only show the Company's name? In 4.4.1, the SEO on homepage was custom title, meta desc, and meta keywords.

I've submitted this problem via the bug tracker and they has confirmed the issue. Hopefully they can resolve this soon

In your report, provide screen shot of the "General settings -> SEO" page, "General options" section of your X-Cart installation.

Also, let us know if you have any text entered in the "lbl_site_title" variable, and in the "Company name" field ("General settings -> Company").
