Manipulate best sellers (inflate sales or change criteria to 30 days)

Default Manipulate best sellers (inflate sales or change criteria to 30 days)
Is there a way to change best sellers to display for the last 30 days of sales or manipulate the DB to move individual products higher in the list? Maybe a third party module or DB changes?
