Question Ask a Question

Is it possible in X-Cart Pro for the Ask A Question link on the product page to send a message direct to the Vendor selling the product? Is this possible natively or does it require third party addons?

It requires small customization of X-Cart PRO as by default it sends a question to "orders dept. e-mail" set by the admin.

And one would think that actually in PRO this will send questions to provider not store admin. This should be stock Alex, there is no point of having different providers and all communication about products to go to store admin

Thanks for the responses guys. I too believe this should be a stock function.

We're are currently playing with a trial of x-cart pro, how do you set a member to be a normal provider and not root provider. Currently the test provider accounts we have set up have access to all the store products and not just there own. There does not seem to be an option in the membership levels to change the user to a normal provider with restricted product/order access.

GINJ, you need to set proper membership when you create a provider account or when you edit them. Looks like you set Root provider for all your test provider accounts.
