I am very new to X Cart and have a pretty sound knowledge of html but very limited in other fields. After having read and followed the thread posted http://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=33828 I found that nothing had changed on my customer site.

I am using the lucid and XXXX 2 column template. I would very much love my site to look like http://www.stitches4u.com/ . I would very much appreciate some help from anyone one what codes to use and were to put them.

I have found that a lot of post say to put a code in skin1.css, I do not have this file. I have altskin.css, main.css and skin1_admin.css so again I am very new to this and would really benifit from your expertise.

It is not only css changes, it may also require template code changes for which you will have to know smarty and xcart structure. For the css - your cart version uses main.css and altskin.css, skin1.css for cart versions 4.1.x and below, so you would put any css modifications in main.css or altskin.css

Hi Steve, Thanks for your reply, I have made the changed to the various .tpl files as well and the only overall change I get is the boxes around the left side in the admin page disappear. The forum just says to put the code in ***.tlp it doesn't say if it goes at the top or the bottom, does it matter?

You may also need to clear xcart cache - www.yourdomain.com/cleanup.php - to see the changes

Hi Steve,

I had already cleared the templates cache. I just dont know what I am doing wrong. Again I don't have skin1.css as I am using 4.3.1 so I am not sure if I am putting the codes in the right places.
