I am trying to change the DEFAULT setting for order in which my products appear with in the category.

I understand that I can change the order of the products with in the category by simple setting the position myself in category management.

Is it possible to change the default setting to ALPHABETICAL rather than what seems to be the date the product was entered so I can improve the customers view.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Admin/General settings/Appearance options -> Select the order in which products should be displayed within a category.

This should work

• If you select the "Catogorie" under Management
• Select the subcatagorie you want to change
• select the Button that says "Catagorie Products"
• Once you get a list of products make all the position numbers ZERO (0) and xcart will list your product Alphabeticallywithin that subcatagorie according to your product name

It seems that the order is being determined by the "BRAND" rather than the "Product Description". When I set the order to "default" or "product' it appears the same.

Is there somewhere I can edit a template to set the order to be by the Product title/description?

I am trying to do Original Equipment Manufacture of products then display the Compatible equivalent of products.

I have set this up manually using management, under default and it works fine.

Is there anyway of setting this up on say import somehow?

I mean I would set it up randomly to display products in some random order inputted literally and I will work out how to change the rest of this later.

Any replies appreciated,
