Is there an idiot guide to editing the fashion template? This is my first job using xcart and I am a complete novice to php, does anyone know if there are step-by-step instructions on which files to alter, how to add images etc etc?

Sorry if this is stupid, I am a complete newbie!

Try using webmaster mode, it will tell you exactly which template is which and will also allow you to edit text on the fly.

Thanks, I did click into webmaster mode but still couldnt really see what/when/where to edit. Maybe I need to just spend more time clicking all the links etc?!

Spend some time getting familar with which templates are which and try some simple edits using the CSS file first, and then try editing some layouts. Before posting questions in the forum, use the search feature and read through some previous posts to answer your questions. You will find that most of the questions with regards to template editing have already been asked and answered.

Also, FYI, you don't need to know PHP if you are just editing layout and graphics, that is plain old HTML with some Smarty tags sprinkled in. You don't need to touch the PHP files unless you want to change functionality.

Sorry, I know it is irritating when people ask the same things over and over.

I will search more (I promise).

I bought the fashion template so I wasnt sure if it was different but I will read through here some more and try to be more patient
