Default downloading into dreamweaver cs5

We are testing out x cart and have downloaded it onto our desktop and want to download it into dw to test it out, is this possible and is there anything we need to do first before doing that?
Or do we need to upload to our server then import into dw?

Hi Purringparrot,

Thank you for taking interest in our software and welcome aboard!

X-Cart templates themselves are made up of HTML/CSS and Smarty and they were not designed originally for editing using DreamWeaver.

However, Dreamweaver has a plug-in that recognizes Smarty tags, which may help you: http://smartydwt.klitsche.org
