As far as I know this is configured on the field level, not TinyMCE itself.
What fields does it strip script tags from?

Alex,
I do believe the issue lies within TinyMCE. I see the script tags are removed before you even post the field.

To recreate this, open up a static page, and in the content textarea, attempt to place <script> </script> using the source code editor.

Then hit OK and then reopen the source code window. <script> tags are gone.

Quick research shows that we need to add this to tinymce.init function:
Code:
cleanup: false, verify_html: false,

I believe Bob has already reported this problem to the X-Cart 5 dev team:

Please follow the ticket to receive updates on this issue.

Hey Alex, since the support sites have all moved around, that link to a bug report no longer works. Has any progress been made on this? I'd like to enable script tags in the Banner module for managing 3rd party ads.

The link words, but you must be signed into your account at https://secure.x-cart.com/ to see the ticket.

No fix is available for the issue yet.
