Default Adding nav links to the home page!

I haven't modified my page much from the original layout.

On the home page, left-side...I would like to add another area to navigate to my main site. It will look like:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Categories
First Category

Main Site Navigation <---------ADD THIS BLOCK
Home Page
Forum
etc.
etc.

Help

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm still learning the template layout. I believe I'll have to take the help.tpl and duplicate it, and call it nav.tpl. I'll then call this .tpl in another file.

Am I on the right track?

Take a gander at [skin1]/customer/home.tpl, you can easily insert new HTML code here, or duplicate on of the {includes} along with duplicating a file and modifying its contents.

Boomer,

Thanks for the reply. Actually I was looking at your sites and they look great. I might be interested in some consulting on my sight. Basically functionality issues and opinion on what I have. I have a contact link through my site if you want me to e-mail you directly.

On the nav issue, I'm going to copy the help.tpl and rename it nav.tpl because I can get the proper layout look. Similar to what already there. I do a "include" off of the home.tpl and just insert it above the help.tpl. Hopefully it will look o.k.
