The "add to wishlist" button seems to be missing on some categories like on books,PC games etc.. but can be seen on CD - DVD - Video, Sport... do I have to do something on admin settings or is this a bug?

They must have fixed it, because when I checked, it passed...

The main page validates OK.

This one does not:
http://www.x-cart.com/demo/product.php?productid=12&cat=24&page=1

This page is not Valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional!

Below are the results of checking this document for XML well-formedness and validity.

1. Error Line 345 column 3: document type does not allow element "ul" here; missing one of "object", "applet", "map", "iframe", "button", "ins", "del" start-tag.

<ul>

The mentioned element is not allowed to appear in the context in which you've placed it; the other mentioned elements are the only ones that are both allowed there and can contain the element mentioned. This might mean that you need a containing element, or possibly that you've forgotten to close a previous element.

One possible cause for this message is that you have attempted to put a block-level element (such as "<p>" or "<table>") inside an inline element (such as "<a>", "<span>", or "<font>").

It's because the <ul> is inside that massive <span> tag.

2bobb: Thank you for the notice. This is because the description of this demo product uses the <ul> tag. We have already fixed it and the demo will be updated soon.

2haroldalv: The button 'Add to wishlist' is not supposed to appear for products with defined product options if the option 'A customer using the "Buy now" button to order a product with product options must be redirected to the product details' is enabled in the General settings section. This option is enabled on the demo, so the button 'Add to wishlist' does not appear, and it is X-Cart's expected behavior.

Hopefully you are fixing the templates to allow the <ul> tag as nearly every one of my product descriptions uses the <ul> tag. Limiting descriptions to using inline HTML elements only would be a severe restriction.

I second that. I use a lot of <ul> tags in my descriptions as well.

Cheers,
Jason
