X-cart version 4.6.0

I don't have any real time payment gateway for the site.

I need to know, is it possible to configure x-payment for collecting card information alone.

I have seen x-payment video, where they use the saved card information along with Authorize.net or other payment gateway. But, I want to use it without any payment gateway.
Is it possible?

What is the best way to go without any real time payment gateway as my business won't allow it.

There is no way unless you use XC 4.4.5 or below. And you actually should not do this as it is illegal. How are you going to process the card without having payment gateway?

You'd better to stick with one of the payment gateways X-Payments supports tokenization for. It is safer and will cost you much less than implementing PCI Level 1 infrastructure to be able to store shoppers' credit cards.

Actually, we are selling cigars and so, no payment gateway will provide support to it.

Will collect the card details and process it manually at the later stage.

We did the same before upgrading our xcart version as well.

What is the other best way to handle it(apart from closing the cigar business)

I am pretty sure there are payment gateways to accept payments from this type of business. You just need to find one.
You can also use PP - PP Pro or PP Advanced which will accept and process CC in addition to PP account...
