OK... I have X-Payments back end up on my server. It was a lot easier to get up (in fact I thought it was easy) than solving the script problems from the PHP 5.3.2 upgrade (3rd party add ons). I am running 4.1.12 and am waiting for QT to install the connector. However, I have X-Payments in a folder right off of root so I need no additional SSL Certificate and my customers will not be leaving the site as some here fear. After the connector is installed I will let you know the rest. IMHO everyone needs to click back the anxiety level just a few notches. YOUR STORES WILL STILL OPERATE TOMORROW!!! I REPEAT, YOUR STORES WILL STILL OPERATE TOMORROW!!!

I for one am not going to fault QT for what is clearly out of their control and I am not going to concern myself that I will be operating without an approved X-Payments tomorrow. I will do everything I can to comply as fast as humanly possible, and defend it with my documented efforts. NOW, go relax for awhile.

Lightbulb Re: X-Payments 1.0 beta5 announcement

Ok guys, today is the 1st of July. News from the fields:

We have officially missed the deadline.

Our contact at QSA says that the software is marked as "Approved" in their internal database but he need some kind of approval from his boss (sic!) before he issues the official statement.
The good news is that he says it will be ready this Friday. The bad news is that "tomorrow" was their deadline for the past week, and I as said before, I have no leverage over QSA whatsoever.

As far as I understand, users' ability to process payment is unaffected. Everything is still fine in this field. Even the users who use payment gateways requiring PA DSS certified payment application, will not be disconnected at the 1st of July. They will only face immediate troubles if they change gateway or go through SAQ right now. We are doing our best (in bumping QSA, *sigh*) to deliver the compliance document ASAP.

Meanwhile, we've arranged a help line for those affected by "July, the 1st" deadline. If you DO get disconnected or get any disconnection notices or have any other troubles related to PCI DSS please e-mail us at pci-questions@x-cart.com . We will work together on workaround plan.

Please do not use this e-mail for questions related to technical problems and X-Payments installation questions. That's just for stores that *actually* have compliance problems affecting their ability to accept payments right now.

I am sure we will work out through this mess created by regulators together.

This missing the deadline is unacceptable. The QSA has no excuse for not issuing the offical statement. I guess the problem is that if you complain too much they will "invent" a problem with your software that they then say means its your fault that the deadline is missed.

It would be interesting to know how many other software suppliers are in the same position as QT.

Hi Everybody,

According to VISA, existing merchants outside USA, Canada and Europe are to be at full compliance by July 1, 2012, not July 1, 2010!

See http://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?p=291300#post291300

This message was UPDATED to reflect correct information about dates for USA, Canada and Europe

Well mate, that's official VISA's confirmation that end of world is 2012
Stays in line with your earlier joke (http://forum.x-cart.com/showpost.php?p=290626&postcount=90)

Still, we will keep on pushing QSA so that new merchants have no problems getting approved for accept cards straight on their web sites.
