The statistics show that this is not the case and stores that use this module save a lot of otherwise lost sales.

As you say, there are countless reasons why people don't finish their orders, and what this module does is recover the ones that left without intenting to and that would later forget about it. Especially for busy customers, the attention span is minimal. We can't compare e-commerce with regular retail stores - nothing is the same.

Besides that, we've had feedback from stores that their customers actually called in after receiving the e-mail and placed their order - and they were actually SATISFIED because of that reminder because they would have forgotten about it. Someone from the forum actually reported this after we installed the module for him.

Customers do come back and they are not upset by the reminder - this is something that we have experienced.

I recently noticed that eBay does this too and I'm sure other big stores are doing it also. It's a definite waste NOT to.
