I found the following from a google search

It appears to offer GCO for 3.x and 4.x stores ( i need it for 4.0.18 ). Anyone have experience with this mod or developer? Price isn't too bad (wish x-cart would just support GCO for 4.0.x).

It is cheaper then the other alternative

The magneticone variant seems to not work with real time shipping (seems stupid to me!).

I am fairly new at this what is the difference between goole checkout and paypal. I have a paypal account so if I decide to change I need to understand the reason for changing

just another payment gateway; google's processing fees are free for 2007 and their rate is cheaper then paypal.

LoricaeSoft, doesn't even follow Google Checkouts policies. You won't get any Badge on your adwords by listing the method like this. Not too mention no where does it mention the Level of checkout, if its level 1 or 2.

I've used Magnetic One's Level 2, I'll admit its a pain to setup, requires ZendEncoder, xmlib, and libcurl be installed/compiled into apache, but so far it seems to be the best integration for level 2. I believe it does support live shipper rates, although I may be mistaken. I'm still evaluating it with a 4.0.x client. I have a level 1 integration but its not commercially ready yet, unfortunatly. I had to abandon a level 2 as I just didn't have the time to dedicat to it.

Thanks for the advic ewill follow it. But not being a very skille dtech guy I feel I will have to stick with Paypal for now.

This is right on magnetic's listing:

"Support for Shipping
Support for flat-rate shipping modules only. No support for on-line calculated shipping methods yet. Unique feature: shipping costs are calculated based on final shipping address of your customer!"

How far are you away from your leve 1 integration?

I was going to start looking at merging x-cart's GCO implementation in 4.1 to 4.0 but havent looked yet. X-cart said they'd do it for $700!!!

That’s why officially we support only flat rate shipping.

But we can provide custom installation of module on your store for $150.

So, total will be:

Google Checkout module for X-Cart - $150

Custom installation - $150

TOTAL: $300

Yikes! I can't believe realtime shipping is that bad? Doesn't the GCO interface just expect a shipping cost passed to it??? Or is it b/c the user doesn't input their information on the xcart site?

This is not a problem of any mods or shopping carts but rather a problem specific to Google Checkout.
